Apparently, Fox News felt compelled to go beyond inflating the number of folks who they claimed showed up in Washington, D.C. last week for the anti-healthcare tea party gathering. The leadership brass at Fox News took out a full page ad in the Washington Post decrying the other networks (ABC/NBC/CBS/CNN/MSNBC) for NOT covering that tea party gathering. To their discredit, the Washington Post obliged Fox News and published that slanderous piece. Their rationale was that they didn’t bother to check the accuracy or factual basis behind Fox’s full-page ad. The mind reels.
