VIDEO — FOX NEWS’ SHEPARD SMITH – GRILLING REPUB SENATOR JOHN BARRASSO (R-WY) – SHEP SETS HIM STRAIGHT ON THE “PUBLIC OPTION” CONCEPT!

Shep Smith reminds Republican Senator Barrasso (Wyoming) that the insurance company’s profits have gone up 350% over the last 10 years among other things.  In a 7-minute (but fast-moving) video below he confronts Barrasso on the feasibility of a health care program that does not contain a Public Option.

He also follows up with the question as to how are the insurance companies’ costs going to be contained WITHOUT a Public Option. Shep answers his own question by saying that the public option will keep the costs of the insurance industry in check.  He also reminds Barrasso that the Public Option is NOT a Washington-run health care program.   Barrasso can only respond by referring to some study about heart and cancer patients facing health care cut backs in their medicare coverage?  What bunk?

Shep, later on in the 7-minute video – AGAIN asks Barrasso how are the health care costs going to be contained.  Barrasso lamely responds by saying there’s no one way that will bring health care costs down but will instead involve a variety of approaches.  Just more blather by the GOP.
