I think it is safe to say at this juncture that the British Petroleum oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is going to be the death knell for the Obama Administration unless the President clearly takes the lead on this and puts the full force and “effect” of the United States Government behind this supposed salvage effort. Additionally, we need a worldwide consortium, if necessary, to plug this damn hole and siphon off the millions of gallons of oil now floating in the Gulf of Mexico.

James Carville, one of the most loyal of Obama supporters, stated publicly on Tuesday that this incident would make for the downfall of this administration. I tend to agree. The GOP vultures have been circling since the Innauguration and view this as the perfect storm within which to launch a comeback attack against this President.
