Social Security is under serious attack by the Republican Party/Tea Party Express.  They want to “scale” it way back.

RIGHT NOW – the Social Security surplus is $2.6 TRILLION!

Social Security’s administrative costs are a mere 1% of the proceeds taken in each year.

On February 19, 2011 the U.S. House of Representatives voted 235-189 to pass a budget  (H.R.1) that proposes deep cuts to Social Security.

The House-passed budget cuts would furlough Social Security Administration workers for as much as one month out of the next seven months and result in temporarily closed offices.

.

We have until MARCH 18TH to get the U.S. Senate to BLOCK cuts to Social Security.

.

On March 2nd there will be rallies across the country.  Call your local congressional representative to register your disapproval of the Republican cuts to Social Security.
