I got word just today (at the San Rafael Occupy General Assembly on 4th Street) that a Mill Valley couple is facing an imminent eviction this Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. from the home they have lived in for 33 years.
.
This is a general call for volunteers to help maintain a “presence” in that residence (608 Eastwood Way, Mill Valley) to ward off sheriffs who plan on carrying out the eviction.
.
Anyone who can should arrive on Monday morning before 10:00 a.m. and help John and Patty Graybill in their efforts to retain their home from the grasping claws of the infamous Wells Fargo Bank.
.
They are worthy of assistance. They have tried to work things out with Wells Fargo Bank but the Bank has steamrolled all of their efforts to date.
.
This is a good way to give the Marin County Occupy movement a real and meaningful presence that will surely send a message to the banking community that there are citizens who will fight back and call Banks to task for shady and onerous mortgage practices.
.
If you can’t help in this instance can you “spread the word” as best you can. There will be efforts to call representatives of Wells Fargo as well as local area politicians to get the message out that these sorts of things will not be tolerated anymore. Let’s all do what we can. Check out the Occupy Marin website for more details – http://occupymarin.org.
