THE GOP “REDUCED” TO CLINT EASTWOOD TALKING TO AN “EMPTY” CHAIR (REP. OBAMA) — A “FISTFUL” OF EMBARRASSING! — A HUMPTY-DUMPTY BEGINNING FOR THE FALL CAMPAIGN

Mitt Romney + Paul Ryan got upstaged big-time on Wednesday night at the GOP National Convention in Tampa, Florida.

.

Hollywood star and Oscar-winner Clint Eastwood did a 12-minute “spiel” on stage and shared the spotlight with an “empty” chair  (aka – the missing President Obama).

.

The one thing the GOP can ill-afford at a time like this is to come across looking like a party that conjures up an old man with Alzheimer’s disease.  Mitt Romney is a walking-talking matinée idol with a running mate that is at least young and energetic (Paul Ryan).  Now that whole game plan has undergone a severe setback by Mr. Eastwood’s 12-minute ad-libbed presentation on Wednesday night.  As John Stewart best put it on the “Daily Show” – it was THE OLD MAN AND THE SEAT.

While all other speakers were closely vetted by GOP officials no one thought to vet Clint Eastwood’s “script”.  It seems like everybody lost their nerve in that regard.  And man, did he lay an egg of epic proportions!

This is a pure case of Humpty-Dumpty.  The GOP fell off the Wall on Wednesday night and not even all of the King’s horses can ever hope to put it back “together” again in time for the November 6, presidential election.

This GOP has nothing but HATE + FEAR to offer the electorate.

.

When it comes to enthusiasm, a good number of “casual” GOP voters are just as likely to stay home as cast a vote for Mitt Romney.

I include the Electoral College Map of the 2008 Presidential Election below.  It is this blogger’s considered opinion that we are in store for a virtual “repeat” of those results again in 2012.
