JOHN BOEHNER — Won’t Budge On Tax Cuts For The Wealthy

I don’t care how you slice it or dice it the Republicans in the House of Representatives are going to have to “swallow a bitter pill.”  Go ahead, folks and roll the dice and go “over the cliff”.

The President won the November 6th election easily and convincingly.  No one, and I mean NO ONE is going to place the BLAME for “going over the cliff” at the doorstep of the White House.

The Republicans can try to “link” any deal to “concessions” on the mechanism for raising the Debt Limit or “demands” for cut-backs in the Entitlement Programs.  Or simply more “tinkering” with Social Security and Medicare.

.

The “jig” is up GOP.  President Obama is adamant about Social Security not playing any part in the Fiscal Cliff Negotiations.   He’s equally adamant about the Bush Tax Cuts being extended for ONLY those making UNDER $250,000.

So Boehner, let’s see you “roll with this”.  Someone is going to end up with a whole lot of “egg” on their face and I do believe the “initials” for that certain “someone” are:  “GOP”.

Boehner can huff and puff all he wants but he ain’t gonna blow this house (White House) down.  He has a lousy hand to play and he knows it.  Trying to convince the American public that raising taxes will have to come at the expense of “denying” MIDDLE CLASS taxpayers their continued “standard” deductions (mortgage deductions/state income tax deductions, etc.) or – (in the alternative) – require scaling back some of the “entitlement” programs (Social Security, Medicare) is a pile of crap that not even P.T. Barnum (at his very best) could “sell”.

John Boehner – you have now reached the zenith of the famous “Peter Principle” – where one rises to the level of their own INCOMPETENCE.  John, you can run, but you can’t hide.  Good Luck, sucker!
