HERE IT IS IN A “NUTSHELL” – THE GOP “IS” THE FLIP SIDE OF THE NRA – EACH IS CONTROLLED BY A PRECIOUS FEW – THE NRA HAS 4 MILLION MEMBERS OUT OF 310 MILLION AMERICANS – THE GOP IS NOW JUST A COLLECTION OF TEA-PARTY WINGNUTS!

The old saying in America is:  “Money Talks, Bullshit Walks!”

That pretty much sums up the operating system of both the NRA and the GOP.

.

The NRA + the GOP are – in essence – cut from the same cloth.  The NRA is a small minority – the GOP is a markedly small minority when you consider that it is now a Tea Party “affair”.  Each is run by a small cadre/core of “vested” interests.  They are both “insular” and impervious to real change and/or robust debate/dialogue.

.

NRA CEO/Chief Lobbyist – Wayne LaPierre and Republican House Speaker John Boehner are virtually “interchangeable”.

.

Each will “squelch” any efforts to besmirch their movement/organization – at the “drop-of-a-hat” – with sledge-hammer efficiency.

.

And most importantly, they are both “in the business” of BEING a BUSINESS.  The NRA CEO/Chief Lobbyist, Wayne LaPierre heads a $200-million business concern. The GOP is just a front for a Corporate Behemoth that is run by and serves only the TOP ONE-PERCENT.

You can even say that the “NRA” actually stands for the “National Republican Association”.

At the core of each is the time-honored maxim:  “Might Makes Right”.  With a mission statement like that a society or civilization is bound to unravel and descend into the depths of depravity.
